2009 Starboard 9'8" Element

The very successful design elements of the 10’5” condenses into a shorter and even more performance oriented board. Still stable for its size and providing direct paddling. It has extreme acceleration and due to shorter lengths and refined rails allows for greater precision while maintaining drive and fluidity though turns.

The Classic comes with an NSI traction pad installed.

  • Technora Sandwich: This is the lightest and stiffest most premium technology for 2010. All boards in the Technora technology include Startouch, Starboard's trademark deck traction.
  • TAC Wood Sandwich: This is the most exceptional looking technology, while being light and stiff. All boards in the TAC technology include Startouch, Starboard's trademark deck traction.
  • Camo Tufskin EVA: This is the most popular technology offering an excellent balance of weight, price and performance. All boards in Camo feature a full EVA deck, and are equipped with M8 insert for windsurfing compatibility.
  • Candy Tufskin EVA: This is the same construction technology as the Camo, but features the candy stripes on the EVA deck. All boards in Candy feature the full EVA deck.
  • Blue Touch Tufskin: This technology is a great balance between durability, price and performance.

What size paddle do I need?

Typically, you want to choose a paddle that is 8-10 inches longer than your total height. So, if you're 5'10" you'll want a 78-80 inch paddle. Sizing stand up paddles is easy once you know how to do it!
