Windsurf Boards

2009 JP Australia Freestyle

You just can’t beat it. It’s a total feeling of "play" when you hit the water on these boards, no rules, no boundaries, no limitations, just go out there and do whatever you want to do - that’s freestyle! Carve, jump, slide, spin, it’s so easy on these boards. No other Freestyle boards on the market combines top freestyle performance with such unmatched freeride potential.

What's New

For the new range they wanted to keep the balanced feel and improve the sliding ability with extra pop for the big moves.

JP reduced the width in the mid section for quicker response to foot pressure. Additional width between the straps compensates for the reduced planning surface in the mid section. More curve in the outline makes the board pop out the water quickly - perfect for initiating big moves! A slightly fuller rail creates extra buoyancy to stop the rail from digging into the water and interfering with sliding moves. Combined with a very soft tuck line this makes the board very forgiving.

The extra volume in the rail allowed JP to reduce the board thickness and guarantees additional control.

The adjusted rocker line makes the board jump onto a plane effortlessly and uses every gust to accelerate. The board feels light and loose under the feet and just fly’s over chop.

Summary

Not only a perfect new school freestyle board – now with extra pop and more forgiveness in sliding moves - but also a very pleasant board for freeride. Probably the board with the broadest range of use on the market.
