2012 Starboard Kode Freestyle Wave
The 2012 Starboard Kodes are the result of a global R&D effort charged with developing the ultimate lineup of high performance wave, freestyle wave and freemove shapes. These are the highlights for 2012:
The Kode 68 - The smallest Kode. Designed by Boujmaa Guilloul for his wave riding and bump n' jumping needs, covering Moroccan high winds to Maui big waves. The Kode 68 has also proven to be an unreal Gorge board, mixing a compact outline into a gunny tail with soft, round rails. Blends flowing style with speed. A special stand-out in the Kode range.
The Kode 74 and 80 - the pure wave board classics in the range also offering high wind freestyle and high wind bump-n-jump performance. Fast, down-the-line shapes with gunny tails and fast rocker lines. For 2012, the 74 received the same updates that the 80 got last year…extra tail kick for more maneuverability, and a smoother, tighter top turn, and a shortened nose to reduce swing weight.
The Kode 86, 94 and 103 - the perfectly balanced blend between wave, freestyle and freeride. Always fast, always powerful and always aggressive, these Kodes have more width, more tail volume and more pop for full freestyling ability. The new 86, 94 and 103 shapes are 3cm shorter to improve high wind control and responsiveness for jumps, jibes and aerials. They also feature a harder release edge on the rail for more planing power and quicker acceleration.
The Kode 113 and 123 - the two largest boards that blend more freeride elements to the freestyle-wave equation. Whether blasting around in flat water, or working on your light wind freestyle and wave riding, the largest Kodes are super versatile. Compact and fast, these Kodes have a wide wind range and can easily carry bigger sails.
