Chinook continues to deliver a reliable and well-proven design with their Carbon Booms, unchanged for 2009. Made in the Columbia River Gorge, these are one of the best values of any carbon boom on the market. Chinook's Triple Clamp Boom Head and unique molding processes make these booms very stiff, strong and user-friendly.

These booms feature a 1 1/8" diameter grip, external locking pin collars that eliminate twist, a unique clew block for fixed or in-flight adjustable outhauls, an extra-generous extension range, and three specialized tail piece lengths and widths.

The Formula boom has a 1 1/4" grip and fairleads to keep the lines off the sail. All bends are compatible with modern sail designs.
