Chinook Tendon 2-Bolt Euro Pin Base
The tendon mast joint is a great choice for advanced riders in surf conditions, where maximum strength is important. Intermediate sailors who are waterstarting frequently would be better off with a rubber mast base, as the tendon joint is very stiff and tends to flip the board. Beginning windsurfers who are uphauling frequently would benefit from using a mechanical base.
Chinook's two-bolt mast bases are two separate pieces, and come with Chinook's Quick Release Base Plate. This setup makes it super quick and easy to pop off your mast base while leaving the low-profile plate assembly attached to your board. Long story short, it means less time dawdling with gear before and after a session, and more time out on the water!
